Tourism in Wales Now
Visitors to our region come from far and wide. But what else do we know?
- Current data doesn't include our National Park, as an area in its own right
- Visit Wales grouped holiday destinations in Wales into 13 regions
- Mid Wales and the Bannau Brychieniog / Brecon Beacons came 8th for areas that people visited in 2022.

This does not tell us enough.
We'd like to expand upon these figures and gain insights into how these visitors contribute to our area. What type of visitor are they, which activities do they engage in, how do they travel across our National Park, what's their average stay/spend and their engagement with our culture.
With these insights then we can truly understand where we can improve tourism and educate our visitors on their environmental consciousness and gain more high-quality visitors who visit across the seasons.

- Local, national and international Brecon Beacons marketing and public relations promotion, building upon our relationships with Visit Wales, Mid Wales Tourism & more. Discover key statistics of where tourists come from, visitor spending and analysis of past and current behaviour. You can input directly into our tourism surveys and have your voice heard!
- We act as our members' voice to lobby for regional issues and strategically lead on our core value of sustainable tourism for our National Park and its visitor economy.
- Provide up to date information to our members on key legislation and policy changes via our newsletter and drop-in advice service accessed via our Brecon Hub.
- Actively champion our National Park locally, nationally & overseas via exhibitions and trade shows, not just in print!
